This project involved a successfully delivered integration platform allowing seamless communication between lighting control, BMS and room automation systems.

Project details

Rockbrook Technologies were tasked with providing and integrating a number of building systems on this large refurbishement project. The objective which was successfully met was to modernise the building and deliver an energy efficient sustainable building. A lighting control system (LCS) capable of local and central management of all spaces within the building and a platform for integration of the building sub system including HVAC, access and security was provided. For ease of use the room automation solutions that can interface with central utilities, HVAC, access and security as well as an automated emergency light testing and reporting system.

Building Management System (BMS)
The Siemens Building Management System was implemented using distributed automation stations to control both utilities and HVAC. All equipment is monitored, scheduled and controlled via a graphically rich front end and affords easy manipulation of scheduling and building control functions.

Lighting Control System (LCS) and Emergency Lighting
The LCS is based on KNX and DALI facilitating the day to day lighting requirements for the office environment.  We also implemented a KNX and DALI automated emergency light testing and reporting system.

Building Systems Integration
As part of the integrated systems requirement for this project Rockbrook implemented an integration platform allowing seamless communication between lighting control, BMS and room automation systems.

All of the systems are controlled and supervised by one fully integrated front end.
