Our brief was to provide a robust lighting control system with automated emergency light testing facility and energy savings through constant light level control.  A KNX / DALI control system was used to facilitate and automatically adjust in order to maintain optimal lighting conditions for patients and personnel while optimising energy usage. This also allowed for specific lighting management and control in sensitive hospital areas such as the Neo-Natal Unit. A highly detailed and graphically rich front end was implemented in order to allow rapid resolution of control system faults and extensive reporting functions.
