The Guinness Storehouse

Ireland’s number 1 tourist attraction. Rockbrook have implemented an LCS and BMS on the site.

Project details

Consistently named as Ireland’s No.1 tourist attraction since opening in the year 2000 it has welcomed over 20 million visitors. The Storehouse covers 7 floors of interactive exhibitions all topped off by the Gravity Bar which features breathtaking views of Dublin city. Rockbrook are extremely proud to have successfully implemented both BMS and LCS systems on the site.

We provided a Lighting Control System (LCS) capable of local and central management of all spaces within the building. The system is based on KNX and DALI facilitating the lighting requirements for both the exhibition spaces and back of house areas. The system allows operations staff to easily schedule building wide light modes and adapt each mode to specific requirements dependent on events or building usage.

The Siemens Building Management System (BMS) controls all of the HVAC and building utilities systems. It was implemented using distributed automation stations to control both utilities and HVAC. All equipment is monitored, scheduled and controlled via a graphically rich front end and affords easy manipulation of scheduling and building control functions.
